Manta Ray Lodge is born of a dream to create a special retreat for active travelers that spend their days sightseeing, diving or whale watching and want to come back to a comfortable room with all amenities and a familiar ambience.

Sustainability

Manta Ray Lodge was rebuilt keeping in mind Azores traditional architecture and natural building materials, yet with a soft contemporary look.

Sustainability and ecology were constantly present in the development of this project and environment-friendly practices are encouraged and part of our daily routine:

• Very low consumption LED lighting
• Highly efficient heat pumps with solar panels to produce hot water
• New and efficient household appliances
• Effort to use Portuguese products
• Effort to use of organic, local products for breakfast
• Use of biodegradable cleaning products
• Reduce and recycle
